Friday 19th May brought the best weather of the year, but Nikeforos was attending Nordic Game 2017. The aim was a get a better view of the whole game supply chain. Spoke to Hyper Games first, who’s title Morkredd won a prize and was a fun concept, although not sure if it could be more.
Forest Interactive from Malaysia were looking for 4-5 for developers to launch on their platforms. Many other impressions for me on the structure of the industry and who and what is in the driving seat. The upshot of all of this is a) I don’t envy the developers, b) publishing doesn’t look much fun either but marginally more profitable and c) the big beasts are the likes of AWS, who have a monster of a product.
